ResumeSmarts Privacy Policy

The offerings presented on ResumeSmarts.com ("RS") involve interactions between you, your data and, RS' productivity tools ("Smarts"). RS' effectiveness requires of you to provide complete and accurate information and it is therefore vital that RS' relationship with you be based upon integrity and trust, honoring a commitment to you that your privacy is maintained.

This document describes how RS protects your privacy, and that of your data.

Types of Data Retained

RS and its Smarts retain data about your usage along with your selected options and preferences, as well as data that you submit.

Data Storage Duration

RS retains your data for as long as your account exists. Upon deleting your account, all of your data are summarily purged such that RS will be unable to restore any of them, EVER. Some traces of your data and usage may yet remain in some instances, for example in RS' data backups that were created prior to your account's deletion or, in payment records if you elect to purchase services. Usage logs that do not contain data that identifies you might also remain.

How Your Data are Used

Your data are used to deliver the services that you expect, and are NEVER shared with entities outside of the platform unless you want them shared, for example, when you share your resume with an employer. Your data may be shared with other RS users without your knowledge or consent in situations where Smarts are expected to do so by the nature of their functionality, such as including your vote when reporting a tally to users, and in such instances your anonymity will be assured unless you specifically deem otherwise.

How Data About Your Usage are Used

RS uses your usage data to better understand your needs and to enhance your experience. For example, access to Smarts is availed to users in stages based on usage. Also, RS exposes an artificial intelligence system that guages usage and offers guidance and recommendations as users progress, and informs users of newly-added Smarts and features that may increase their productivity.

Your Data are NEVER Shared with Advertisers

Advertisers often employ user-tracking techniques to determine the advertisements that users receive. RS does not share any of your data with advertisers, though your browser may share some data about you and may allow advertisements to read and write data onto your computer in places such as your cookies folder. Advertisers may be offered aggreagated data, for exmple usage statistics, in a manner that does not expose who users are or their private content.

Smarts' Privacy Policies

This privacy policy applies to RS and its Smarts. Smarts may individually provide their own privacy policies and when they do they are to be considered as an extension of this document, and should a conflict exist between this policy and that of a Smart, the Smart's privacy policy shall prevail in the context of the relevant Smart.

Communicating with RS

A record of your communication may be maintained when you contact RS which may survive your account's termination, and RS may contact you in response to your communications. RS may also contact you in accordance with your selections in its settings, or to inform you of policy changes, new features, offeriings, options and modifications that may impact your experience.

Disclosing Information

RS may, without your knowledge or consent, share data and usage with companies, organizations or individuals outside of RS where deemed in good-faith that access to or, use, preservation or disclosure of, the information is reasonably necessary to:

• Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
• Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
• Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
• Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of RS users or the public as required or permitted by law.

RS may likewise share aggregated, non-personally identifiable data publicly and with RS partners, like advertisers or associates, in a manner that maintains your anonymity. For example, RS may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of RS and its Smarts.

Changes to This Policy

RS may modify, remove or replace this privacy policy, or that of any Smart, at any time and without your knowledge or consent. RS will attempt to inform users at least 14 days in advance of changes to the relevant privacy policy, by email to the address with which the user logs in. The email message will present the user with access to a revised privacy policy where applicable, and will inform users of the earliest date upon which the revisions may be active, so that users may review them and respond effectively and in a timely manner.

ResumeSmarts Security Policy

How Your Communications with ResumeSmarts are Secured

Your communication with ResumeSmarts.com ("RS") either while engaing directly with RS or any of its productivity tools ("Smarts") is protected by integrated security features that restrict it from unauthorized access. All communications between RS and users are encrypted, and all communications authenticate users’ credentials along with encrypted, unique, single-use, non-sequential authentication keys that are exchanged with each communication.

Who Has Access to Your Data

RS' Privacy Policy defines they types of data that are addressed in this security policy. Access to your data is restricted to RS', RS'-providers' and RS'-partners' employees, contractors and agents who require access to RS systems in order to maintain and enhance them, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations.

Smarts' Security Policies

This security policy applies to RS and its Smarts. RS' Smarts may individually provide their own security policies and when they do they are to be considered as an extension of this document, and wherever a conflict exists between this policy and that of a Smart, the relevant Smart's security policy shall prevail in the context of the relevant Smart.

Our Story

I arrived in Silicon Valley California in the early 2000s. It was just after the dot-com crash, and for many years thereafter it seemed as though half of the area's engineers were depressingly out of work.

Some of us, myself included, were extremely lucky to have joined ProMatch, where we learned, developed and honed exceptional networking, resume and interview skills. While we’ve all developed our own personal approaches, we still share the same effective core methods.

We all deserve the opportunity to develop and nurture our careers, yet the employment sector is broken, and fantastic candidates are often overlooked.

I created Resume Smarts to pay forward the employment skills that I’ve acquired, and to avail everyone tools that will empower us all to be effective and efficient when pursuing our career objectives.

Many smarts can be integrated into resumes to enhance their effectiveness, and many smarts may be gleaned from them even long after they've been sent. Since we are invariably always expected to submit a resume for a position, I've created a powerful resume productivity app at the platform’s core, intended to empower users to produce customized, position-relevant, effective resumes quickly. I further integrated it with a handful of powerful productivity tools, and have slated additional features and tools to be added as the platform increases traction, to help users be even more effective.

I hope that this will at least be a starting point for all of you, as you hone your skills and develop your own approaches that you feel work best for you.

Inside, you will find plenty of audios and videos that will help you develop your skills, help you make the most of this platform and its tools, and show you how to reach me if assistance is required.

This task should have been fulfilled by a team, yet I am but a single engineer, lucky enough to have found a fantastic executive who shares my values and interests, and who joined me to bring this to market. The product is currently in Beta testing, so your patience and contributions in helping me find and resolve any problems that you encounter are greatly appreciated.

ResumeSmarts is Currently in Beta Testing (version 21.1.20.1)

Beta testing is a pre-launch state in which a limited group of users is invited to use our product while we ensure that it runs smoothly and can support a growing number of users.

What might you expect while in beta?

• ResumeSmarts supports current versions of the Mac and Windows operating systems, and current versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari.
• ResumeSmarts is not supported on handheld devices and tablets.
• While the minimally-required 1024 x 768 pixel browser window will work effectively, a full-screen window will provide the best experience.
• Browser zooming distorts the interface, and may be restored by pressing [ctrl+0].
• Kindly report graphic anomalies and unexpected product behavior.
• Infrequent system down-time may occur.
• While in beta, severe cases may require that our systems be rolled back, in which case some recent data might no longer be available.
• At least 1.5 GHz processors are required; 2 GHz or faster are recommended.
• Computers with 2GB RAM work well, though 4GB may enhance your experience.
• Planned mintenance downtime will be displayed at the top of the page in advance.
• Please save your work often.

Beta testers may be consulted directly when incident reports cannot be replicated.

In as much as is feasible, beta testers may receive exclusive personal product support.
